Cookie Policy

Last Updated: 13 May 2025

This page explains the small pieces of data that our website places on your device, what they do, and how you can manage them. We have tried to keep the explanation plain and unhurried.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your browser or device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites function as expected, to remember your preferences, and to provide basic reporting to the people who maintain the site.

Cookies do not contain personal information on their own. Where a cookie is linked to identifiable data, our Privacy Policy describes how that data is handled.

Types of Cookies We Use

Essential Always active

Necessary Cookies

These allow the website to work as expected. They manage session continuity and basic security. They cannot be disabled because the site relies on them to function.

Duration: Session / up to 12 months

Analytics

Analytics Cookies

These help us understand how visitors move through the site — which pages are visited, how long is spent on each, and where visitors arrive from. The information is aggregated and does not identify individuals.

Duration: Up to 24 months · Third party: Google Analytics

Marketing

Marketing Cookies

These may be set by advertising partners to build a profile of your interests and show relevant content on other websites. We use these only where we run occasional digital advertising to make that advertising more relevant.

Duration: Up to 12 months · Third party: Advertising networks

Preferences

Preference Cookies

These remember choices you make on the site — such as whether you have already seen and responded to the cookie notice — so that you are not shown the same prompts on repeat visits.

Duration: Up to 12 months · First party

Your Choice

Manage Your Preferences

Use the toggles above to choose which cookies you are comfortable with. Your choices are saved in your browser and respected on future visits. Essential cookies remain active regardless.

Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on this site are placed by services we use rather than by Pendulux directly. These include:

  • Google Analytics — provides aggregated data about site usage. Governed by Google's own privacy policy.
  • Google Maps — the embedded map on our homepage may place a cookie when you interact with it.
  • Advertising networks — where we run digital advertising, partner networks may place cookies to manage ad frequency and relevance.

How Long Cookies Last

Session Cookies

Removed when you close your browser. These handle temporary state — for example, keeping track of your activity during a single visit.

Persistent Cookies

Remain after the browser is closed, until their expiry date or until you delete them. These remember preferences and support analytics reporting over time.

Managing Cookies in Your Browser

You can also control cookies directly through your browser settings. Each browser handles this slightly differently; the guides below will take you to the right place.

  1. Open Chrome and click the three-dot menu (top right).
  2. Go to SettingsPrivacy and securityCookies and other site data.
  3. Choose your preferred setting or use See all site data and permissions to remove cookies from specific sites.
  1. Click the menu button and choose Settings.
  2. Select Privacy & Security from the left panel.
  3. Under Cookies and Site Data, choose Manage Data to view or remove stored cookies.
  1. Open Safari and go to Preferences (macOS) or Settings (iOS).
  2. Click the Privacy tab.

  1. Click the three-dot menu and go to Settings.
  2. Navigate to Cookies and site permissionsCookies and site data.

Mobile browsers generally follow the same settings paths as their desktop versions, accessed through the browser's Settings or Preferences menu. On iOS, system-wide settings under Settings → Safari → Privacy & Security also apply. Clearing cookies on mobile can be done under Clear History and Website Data.

Your Rights and Choices

Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you have the right to understand how your data is used and to withdraw your consent at any time. Adjusting your preferences here, or clearing cookies in your browser, are both valid ways to do this.

Please be aware that disabling non-essential cookies will not affect your ability to use our website, though some features designed to remember your preferences may not persist between visits.

For any questions about how we handle data more broadly, our Privacy Policy is the best starting point. You are also welcome to write to us at [email protected].
